Following the success of three sold-out vinyl presses, VDK is proud to launch the first of its digital EPs, Radiate, alongside the launch of its brand new digital imprint. The EP comprises three tracks from label head Odette and is available now on all digital platforms.
The title track is up first. Radiate takes a slight departure from Odette’s signature house style, with organic drum patterns holding the pulsing choral pads aloft while a laid back guitar strum dances through the mids.
We’re back on a house vibe for Love Me. Skittering top-end percs crackle and hiss, while the lilting vocal sample implores “Make you love me/Want you to love me”. As Love Me rolls on, the sense of melancholy grows stronger for a genuinely emotive twilight track.
We switch the pace up a notch with the final entry on the EP; Another You. Thumping house drums pound away, accompanied by hornet-like synth sounds that buzz about the headspace. If you’re a fan of the euphoric drop, then this is your jam as the final break will have your arms raised aloft in supplication.
