Jackie Synful is a genderfluid, independent outsider-pop act working in writing, drag, visual art, and music among other mediums. Their artistic concerns include the difficulties of escapism, fractured identity, and non-neurotypical, pseudo-heretical modes. They create and perform mostly in Los Angeles.
Jackie Synful's first full-length musical release, "Dis-" serves as an acknowledgment of negativity as important and valid. Dipping its digits into alternative rock, indie, avant-garde sound pieces, electronic, and experimental pop, it contains odes to dejection, incongruity, confusion, and hopelessness in troubling times, seeking solace through helplessness and sorrow. It attempts to find connection through loneliness and create beauty through inharmonious vapidness.
