From "LIVERPOOL DISCO FESTIVAL" — the event that's built its reputation on headliners drawn from NY and Chicago's legendary US DJs, singers and producers — comes a set of remix work drawn from essential 〈WEST END〉 disco, curated with the discerning ear of Chicago soul man RAHAAN!
Track List

Featuring "Ride On The Rhythm" (sample1), an obscure 1982 boogie cut recorded under the Mahogany moniker by Black singer BERNICE WATKINS — also known for the popular 〈SALSOUL〉 reissue "LET'S CALL IT A DAY" — and produced by boogie songwriting duo NICK BRADDY & RICHARD BASSOFF, the pair behind garage classics by TRACEY WEBER and TONEY LEE; "Spirit Of Sunshine" by THE CHUCK DAVIS ORCHESTRA, a 1976 licensed release from 〈VOGUE〉 pairing French composer JEAN-CLAUDE PELLETIER with TOM MOULTON; "Give Your Body Up to the Music" (sample2) by BILLY NICHOLS — the musician behind B.T. EXPRESS's early masterpiece and staple break "Do It (Until You're Satisfied)" who later worked with DJ KOOL HERC — whose original also features a LARRY LEVAN mix; and "You Can't Have Your Cake And Eat It Too" (sample3), the one-shot masterpiece by BT, aka BRENDA TAYLOR, written by CLIFFTON DYSON, brother of RONNIE DYSON of boogie classic "All Over Your Face" fame — all remixed by RAHAAN on this superbly conceived double pack!
