We've obtained a small quantity of 7-inches that had been sleeping deep in the warehouse of SEANCE CENTRE, a label widely trusted for its tasteful releases from the likes of JOSEPH SHABASON and CV&JAB! Released in 1962 on a small label from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, this rare 7-inch now fetches high prices on the secondhand market, including DISCOGS. The sole release by an artist called SHEWRY STAMPER AND THE VIRGINIANS. Coupling "Kansas City" (sample1), the rockabilly number familiar from THE BEATLES' cover, here rendered with a pure girl-group vocal, with the downer garage ballad "I'm Leaving" (sample2). *Please note that there is slight surface noise due to the age of the pressing.
