A re-edit series from the legendary Richard Barratt, who got his start in Sweet Exorcist, the legendary UK '90s bleep techno unit he ran with Richard H. Kirk, and who has recorded as Crooked Man since 2012.
It's fair to say this label, this producer has had more than their fair share of hits over the years.
Hitting you straight in the heart (and hips) sometimes and occasionally (and that's all your own fault) going over-your-head.
Regardless.
Whether rummaging around the sonic fringes or incanting pure dancefloor moments like this, Bitter End always, always deliver.
Adjustment->Love is the best thing we've heard this year.
The rest of the EP 'filler' is also better than anything else you're likely to encounter on a 12" this side of 2025.

Bitter End — a play on the logo of the storied disco label WEST END. An underground house track that draws you into its own world with R&B/soul vocals, illusory synths and hypnotic production. "RIVERS" is slow-wave and dubby, "MALAADJUSTMENT->LOVE" is an alternate version of A1, and B2 is another mid-tempo, old-school, dub-inflected cut built on vocal phrases. Seductive and mysterious.
