"IPOP," a special album compiling and pressing to vinyl the CD-R works that British sound artist ANDREW HARGREAVES — also well known for TAPE LOOP ORCHESTRA and his pursuit of ambient/drone — circulated in tiny quantities during the DIY movement of the 2000s! Carrying on the immersive abstraction of the BASIC CHANNEL lineage while being plainly its own thing, these are wholly original dub techno works that anticipated braindance, micro sounds, and the distortion boom that would later become a trend.
