A remix EP drawn from the album by Italian jazz bassist Rosa Brunello — known for her session with Brainstory on Gilles Peterson's radio program "Brownswood Basement," her appearance on the "Woman In Jazz Compilation," and a sold-out Ronnie Scott's show. Featuring Eva Geist, Khalab, Neil Bopperson, Paolo Baldini and Joe Christensen (DJ Stepmom / King Pari).

Remixes taken from the albums "Senseless Acts Of Love" (2024) and "Sounds Like Freedom" (2022), recorded with players such as Tommaso Cappellato, a key figure in the Italian–LA jazz scene, and saxophonist Tamar Osborn, who also appeared on Kokoroko/Gill's albums. A1 comes from female synthesist EVA GEIST, who has released on HIVERN DISCS and MACADAM MAMBO — synths with a live, in-the-room feel. Also on board: Khalab, the cutting-edge Italian jazz artist who draws on Afrofuturism and folk traditions, and Bopperson, who has collaborated with Nu Guinea and released on WAHWAH Dubplates/45's. An electronic, dancefloor-minded take on jazz. Great stuff. (Original Japanese text by Saito)

Rosa Brunello returns with Reworks, a 5-track EP featuring new reinterpretations of music from her acclaimed and now out-of-press albums Sounds Like Freedom (2022) and Senseless Acts Of Love (2024). Following recent highlights including the Women In Jazz Compilation, Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Basement and a sold-out Ronnie Scott’s show, Brunello invites a diverse group of collaborators to reshape her bass-driven compositions across jazz, dub and electronic forms. Featuring reworks by Eva Geist, Khalab, Neil Bopperson, Paolo Baldini and Joe Christensen (DJ Stepmom / King Pari), Reworks bridges contemporary jazz and forward-thinking club music. Released on limited 12” vinyl and digitally via Domanda Music.
