Approximately five years after the release of *Honest Labor*—a masterpiece that swept the “Best Album of the Year” awards, led by RA—this album traces their journey of growth, marked by significant leaps forward both technically and emotionally. Spanning genres from post-classical to trip-hop and non-music through a series of collaborations, this highly acclaimed album fully embodies their core philosophy of “music that appeals to the instincts.” We have the latest album from the Manchester-based experimental music unit SPACE AFRIKA in stock! This is the colored vinyl edition (Ice Blue Clear).

With its storytelling-driven sample work and raw, intricate electronic soundscapes, the genius duo SPACE AFRIKA—comprising JOSHUA TARELLE REID and JOSHUA INYANG—spans a broad spectrum of genres from ambient and trip-hop techno, and even contemporary music—is now in stock! Featuring numerous guest artists, including KLEIN, the album expands the sound and scale of their previous work in every direction. The album opens with the post-classical track “Vanity,” which showcases the expressive vocals of soprano AXELLE FANYO; continues with the experimental downtempo track “MLN”—featuring TONY NJOKU—which captures the beauty and catharsis at the album’s core; all the way to the closing track “Regards,” where the sounds of rain, organ, and strings create layered harmonies. Centered on the original message of celebrating Black artistry, this album was meticulously crafted by weaving together the threads that connect genres—demonstrating the infinite possibilities of the genres and approaches used as vessels to convey that message. From the ambient sounds that serve as bridges to the album’s progression and the interplay with collaborators, there is not a hint of compromise. Listening to the album in its entirety offers a sense of satisfaction akin to watching a powerful feature-length film. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
