Track List

Geno, Thomas, Marky, DJ Garth. Originally released on the WICKED SOUND SYSTEM label—which moved from London to the West Coast and ushered in a new era of underground parties—and later remixed and released by GREYHOUND in ’98, ’02, and ’03, this track became an iconic classic of West Coast underground house: “Twenty Minutes of Disco Glory.” While GRAYHOUND reissued it as an EP featuring three versions, this track is the 2022 remix by DJ HARVEY. The B-side features two tracks by Adam Tenenbaum, who is active as a musician and composer—currently handling sound design for artists such as Beyoncé and Mickey Heart (Grateful Dead), and contributing to the film scores for “Dune” and “Oppenheimer”—under the alias NECTAR. Began activities in Tokyo in 1996. “Real Rock Design” is an avant-garde visual art and design team active in various media and creative fields, including video, music, VJing, web, advertising, apparel, and spatial design. To commemorate their 30th anniversary this year, they have decided to release three vinyl records! The first release is a collaboration with 〈Grayhound〉, the label run by DJ GARTH—a Bay Area legend nicknamed “Knight of Dance” and a longtime ally who has toured Japan with them for many years! The A-side features a track widely regarded as one of the absolute masterpieces on the Grayhound catalog. It’s “DJ Garth & ETI – Twenty Minutes of Disco Glory, DJ Harvey Remix,” featuring DJ Harvey—a cult leader in the house, disco, and Balearic scenes, hailed as “the man closest to the divine realm as a DJ.” The B-side features “Fairy Trails, What Tha?” by Nectar, who is currently enjoying a remarkable resurgence in the current scene. Furthermore, it has been remastered at Analog Cut—a studio with a solid reputation in Berlin—updating the sound quality for the modern era! Truly a masterpiece packed with the unique sensibility and attention to detail that only Real Rock can deliver!
