You can listen to rare pre-war recordings of Ryōjin Kin, a legendary figure hailed as the “Sage of Song”—a once-in-a-century talent celebrated for his exceptional artistry. This is the only analog recording available outside of 78-rpm records, including recordings made shortly before his death. His breathing techniques and artistic vocal style are said to have had a profound influence on subsequent generations of singers. This is the ultimate “deep listening” music, woven from his long, sustained vocal tones and the sanshin. It represents the pinnacle of Ryukyuan classical music and is a heritage treasure of national significance. (Original Japanese text by Izuru Utsumi)
