Rhythm science that weaves mandala patterns with mystical arpeggios and intricate rhythms! KONDUKU and KASPIANN—two rhythm artisans who have each left a legacy of countless masterpieces on labels such as 〈DELSIN〉 and 〈DISK〉—have released a spectacular split album. They construct a deep sonic world by interweaving complex percussion and timbral patterns. The release also features modern 4/4-driven techno, with four tracks that showcase each artist’s meticulous attention to sound, rhythm, and texture!

KASPIANN—who has also contributed to the “MANTIS” series on the renowned Dutch techno label DELSIN, a hub for rhythm experimenters—has launched a major split release on his own label, VALA! He’s invited KONDUKU, a talented artist who is breaking new ground in the current techno scene with his proven skills. From KASPIANN’s “Tykkykansa”—featuring an immersive, muffled soundscape in the intro, with polyrhythmic percussion intertwining in 4/4 time (sample1), and KONDUKU’s “Window” (sample2), a cinematic techno landscape centered around synth arpeggios that directly exude a sense of melancholy. Both artists showcase their techno craftsmanship, revealing a meticulous approach to synthesis and sequencing. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
