A hidden gem of early 2000s progressive house—blending retro-futuristic trance elements with a tech-house vibe that emphasizes the low end—is being reissued! Be sure to check out the remastering, which rebalances each frequency band to suit modern audio technology. Released in 2003 by the Portuguese duo SHUFFLE PROGRESSION, this track features a rare sound that’s both trance-like and imbued with a warm groove.
Track List
Yet another reissue that’s sure to thrill record diggers comes from Bristol’s 〈DREAM SOFTWARE〉. In addition to this debut release, there’s only one other vinyl release: a reissue of a hard-to-find record by the Portugal-based unit SHUFFLE PROGRESSION. Featuring retro-futuristic synthscapes woven with metallic textures, and sensual android vocals to create a sci-fi atmosphere. The track “Fears” (sample 1) features the two versions from the original release, along with the “Tribal Rework Mix” (sample 2), which adds a percussive arrangement! The remastering is superb—delicately crafted to retain a sense of ethereality and warmth while making the tracks suitable for modern dance floors. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
