The Colombian and Mexican dancehalls we dream of sync up perfectly with the pleasure quarters of Osaka's Juso and Shinsekai, places that still carry the eccentricity, glitter, and edge of the Showa era. Out of those Osaka streets came the cumbia band ROJO REGALO. With the hip-shaking groove of cumbia and Latin American music that rivals ska and reggae, plus the raunchy, rude-boy flavor of cumbia and Showa-style kayo pop, they're an essential part of the Osaka night.
Fresh off a fantastic set that lit up the recent PARADISE BANKONK Osaka, they now release live recordings from a show they played in Bangkok last year! Out on RUDIMENTS, a connection made in Thailand. The jacket comes courtesy of QOTAROO, another Thai connection.
