DIGDUG is a black-market-style hip-hop x hip-hop BLEND project in which DJ SEROW adds hand-picked a cappellas and scratches to MASS-HOLE's beats. Beats hammered out on the MPC by MASS-HOLE, a beatmaker with an astonishing work rate who never skips his training, topped and spliced with rhymes from roughly 1998 to around 2005 (a particularly interesting era right now) by hip-hop cyborg SEROW. Camo, NEW ERA, TIMZ. Even as hip-hop keeps branching off and refining itself, throwing up ever more interesting sounds, this record survives it all, brimming with the conviction that "this is hip-hop."
