This is WALKER & ROYCE's debut, pursuing a stoic New York house that refuses to pander to the trends of the day! Our pick is A2 "Stare If You Want To" (sample1), a genuine party anthem. The funky guitar licks and the synths, which even carry an '80s flavor, are maddening and powerful! The remix of the title track "You're Not Welcome," ruled by vocals with a somewhat provocative edge, is nice too. With more releases already lined up, this is an act to look forward to.
