Robert Wyatt’s sixth solo album, *Dondestan*, released in 1991. In 1998, he re-recorded the mix—which had been incomplete—and rearranged the track order for a reissue titled *Revisited*; while it was originally available only on CD, it has now been reissued on vinyl! Released during the hiatus between *Old Rottenhat* and *Shleep*, the album features performances almost entirely by Wyatt himself. (There’s no bass drum on the drums.) “Shrinkrap (sample_1),” which skillfully incorporates elements of reverse playback and editing, is a personal favorite of mine. The serene, soothing cover art features his wife, Alfi. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
