Robert Wyatt’s sixth solo album, Dondestan, released in 1991. In 1998, he re-recorded the mix—which had been incomplete—and rearranged the track order for a reissue titled Revisited; while it was originally available only on CD, it has now been reissued on vinyl! Released during the hiatus between Old Rottenhat and Shleep, the album features performances almost entirely by Wyatt himself. (There’s no bass drum on the drums.) “Shrinkrap (sample_1),” which skillfully incorporates elements of reverse playback and editing, is a personal favorite of mine.
