This is a new release from LEVELS, run by Estonian veteran AJUKAJA—whose reissue of BENGA BENGA on his own label, 〈PORRIDGE BULLET/PUDRU KUUL〉, was also a hot topic—and JON RUST, an NTS RADIO host and active DJ! A whirlwind of polyrhythmic grooves and a meditative synth trip. It’s incredible, combining a low-fi sensibility that resonates with today’s generation with a divine quality reminiscent of artists like HOLDEN. The B-side puts the groove front and center, showcasing the sound magic of dub mixing. This track is also fantastic. It seems JOY ORBISON has played this on BEATS IN SPACE, and it’s garnering support from various DJs. One of our best-selling releases. Now repressed. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
