Adelbert Von Deyen — heir to and key figure in "Berlin School," the electronic music style pioneered by Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze — released his debut album "Sternzeit" in 1978 on the celebrated Sky Records, a masterpiece of cosmic new age ambient progressive synthesizer music, now reissued by the ever-reliable krautrock imprint Bureau B.

Created entirely single-handedly using an Arp Odyssey along with various other synthesizers and tape machines, the album features the mystical, meditative, new age symphonic cosmic three-part suite "Per Aspera Ad Astra" on Side A, and "Sternzeit" on Side B, a deep synthesizer trip sprawling majestically across the whole side, like drifting weightlessly between the planets. Check out the tracklist as well. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
