Following the first release from G-EDITS—the independent label that caused a stir with its Afro-samples featuring D'Angelo—and a release from SNEAKY MUSIC, the label that launched the MONOLOGUES PODCAST (which also featured UK house legend NAIL), here’s a new release! Sampling “What Am I Missing” by disco diva Chaka Khan and Rufus & Chaka Khan, this track features loops and filters, while the B-side is a mid-tempo house track based on Chaka Khan’s “Better Days.” DEANVERS of MONOLOGUES contributes additional bass to both tracks—two tracks that would fit right in with the UK’s 90s house soundscapes.
