The latest from Vancouver's MOOD HUT, a label that's been picking up its release pace, is a collaboration between REGULARFANTASY and the artist behind VOID MIRROR, who has put out vintage-techno cassettes.
Regularfantasy and Void Mirror met up at the Dance Music Workshop in beautiful Victoria, B.C. during the dog days of summer to track down the house. The music here represents some of the results: melted italo, evergreen synths, and shining energy.
The new MOOD HUT release has arrived!! This is the new project from LIVY LOU, one of the artists/DJs making Vancouver's post-MOOD HUT house scene so interesting — known for PLUSH THROW with D.TIFFANY, BOBO EYE with EVY JANE, and the 12-inch on TOTAL STASIS under the REGULARFANTASY name featuring C.Z. Wang and HASHMAN DEEJAY. Up-tempo four-on-the-floor and synthesizers. Moving stoically back and forth between four-to-the-floor sections and beatless passages, aiming for that peak moment on the dancefloor. If you can share in that feeling, this one's for you.
