Contemporary ballet music inspired by Yukio Mishima's masterpiece "The Temple of the Golden Pavilion"! Co-composed by Estonian composers TIMO STEINER and SANDER MOLDER. Using the meditative cello of THEODOR SINK of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra alongside aggressive noise, this record digs into both the beauty and the repulsion of the work.
Track List

"The Golden Temple," which premiered in Tallinn, Estonia in 2020 with choreography by TEET KASK—who has also worked on productions for the Estonian National Opera, the Royal Swedish Ballet and the Norwegian National Ballet—is now available on vinyl! The aesthetic expression of the strings, cello above all, coexists with the fierce, impassioned expression of noise and percussion. A masterwork that captures both sides of the piece's world. "Manipulation Operation" (sample1), with its rhythmic slapped cello, is simply stunning. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
