An output combining field recordings made during a 2010 visit to the Antarctic continent — a work that also serves as a record of his stay. Ruined buildings, decayed trees, road signs and fences swaying in the fierce wind. Originally released in 2015 on Australia's cutting-edge electronic music label ROOM40 by its founder LAWRENCE ENGLISH, the album "Viento" is here remastered, remixed and issued on CD. Comes with a booklet.

The original was released in a limited run by Minneapolis label TAIGA RECORDS; some seven years later (and ten years on from when the composition was completed), English returned to Antarctica and remixed and remastered the work for this reissue! These are precious field recordings captured by LAWRENCE ENGLISH during a summer 2010 Antarctic expedition, when bad weather stranded him far longer than planned. Drones of the base's interior resonating under blizzards, the sound of fallen trees and objects colliding in the wind — sounds that conjure the "wind" for the listener almost visually. That desolate sound tells of just how severe the environment was. A precious recording that could only have been completed under Antarctica's harsh conditions. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
