This is another great one! Early 78rpm recordings of legendary East African guitarist JOHN ONDOLO, who worked in Tanzania and Kenya!

Ondoro created hypnotic guitar drones using the open tuning of American blues, overlaid with endless rhythmic variations on the main theme. Inspired by the pop music scene in Nairobi, the latest rock from the US, and the music of the young Abakuria tribe, he developed traditional instruments and rhythms into a guitar technique, sometimes played like a harp, and invented a totally unique sound in the recorded history of African guitar
<br
It looks like a simple and dusty Afro-guitar, but it is understandable that it was heresy at the time because of the unusual flute interplay and other unusual performances.
The song is a simple and simple Afro-guitar, but it is also very pleasing to the ear! This also comes in this edition with lyrics, translation, and a booklet by Tanzanian musician and historian John Kitime. Licensed from a family in Ondoro, Tanzania, this is a MISSISSIPPI RECORDS spirited disc that took over 10 years to produce. For your holidays. (Original Japanese text by Shhhhh)
