Sharp 3 years after the release of the quickly sold out first Southern Hemisphere EP, Budabeats Records proudly presents the second installment of the series. The concept worked pretty well last time, so there is no change in this regard: four exciting selections from all over the world with no musical boundaries, suiting a packed dance floor on a Saturday night just as well as your afternoon pool party the day after. On side A the forgotten 1984 boogie masterpiece, Revelação by legendary performer Emilio Santiago gets the edit treatment from the TropiCals duo, then, with ’lluvia Ácida’ Budabeats staple Chillum Trio creates a 10 minutes long acidic tropical shower. On the flip Karl Planck, founder of the genius musical time machine known as Radiooooo.com, shows us how to adjust a 90’s dance tune from Egypt to the current dancefloor, then we wrap things up with the oriental tinged fusion house tune ’Scarabeus’ by Balint Boldizsar. The EP is limited to 300 copies worldwide.


Napra pontosan három évvel az első rész megjelenése után érkezik a Southern Hemisphere válogatásunk második része. A koncepció elég jól bevált, úgyhogy nem is változtattunk rajta: négy totál különböző, izgalmas, de könnyed, medence partra, vagy nyári buliba való zeneszámot válogattunk a világ minden tájáról, bármiféle kötöttség nélkül. A nyitó oldalon elfeledett '84-es brazil boogie-t gombolt újra a szintén brazil TropiCals duó, a Chillum Trio pedig egy tízperces, alaposan kifacsart számmal demonstrálja, milyen is az acid-ba mártott latin pszichedélia. A túloldalon a zseniális, globális zenei időgépként működő Radiooooo.com-ot alapító Karl Planck egy '90-es évekbeli egyiptomi diszkót vágott DJ kompatibilissé, majd az első vinyl megjelenését ünneplő Balint Boldizsár keleti motívumokat csavargató száma zárja a lemezt, ami július 29-én jelenik meg háromszáz példányban limitálva.
