Two special albums reconstructing and condensing the 750 minutes of audio from "Wasurenaide Michiko," the ultimate fiction radio program produced and broadcast on YouTube between October 2019 and September 2020 by Kabutomushi — a music production team of four graduate students at Tokyo University of the Arts: painter Satoshi Hori, composer Toki Fujii, artist Kanji Kuwahara, and pianist Shimon Ohno. We asked whether Snakeman Show or early Tamori were influences, but apparently not directly; the main inspiration came from overseas independent radio specializing in experimental music and drone. Built around the songs that appear in the show and sprinkled with call signs, sound stickers, and fictional commercials, the whole thing is structured like an actual radio program, showcasing a frighteningly promising talent that moves effortlessly from electronic music to folk, choral works, rap, and comedy.
