From 〈Dynamite Cuts〉, the label devoted to putting rare groove classics on 7-inch, comes a precious unreleased recording by keyboardist and producer George Semper — a 1970s California soul figure who has drawn fresh attention thanks to reissues of The Perfect Circle, Funkproof, and Candy Rae's "Tenderness." The B-side is a version sung by singer Joanne Vent, which existed only as an acetate. Joanne Vent also released an album on A&M produced by Larry Marks, and the arrangement here is a fine one, blending Motown-style soul with hints of the A&M sound. Now in stock.
