A shining landmark in Jamaican music history — THE SKATALITES' legendary rocksteady/ska masterpiece 'SKA Boo-Da-Ba,' originally released in 1965 on Top Deck Records, is reissued as a limited-edition 180g heavyweight vinyl LP by the renowned Pressure Sounds, a label known for its archival reissues of rare, top-quality reggae and dub recordings!!!

Twelve of the finest recordings from the monster sessions held at Studio One, conceived by Chinese-Jamaican record producer Philip Stanford Justin Yap.
Along with five Don Drummond originals — "Marcus Junior," "The Reburial," "Confucious," "Chinatown" and "Smiling" — there's B1 "Ringo" (sample1), a cover of Hibari Misora's "Ringo Oiwake" (composed by Masao Yoneyama); A6 "Skaravan" (sample2), a cover of the Duke Ellington classic "Caravan"; B2 "Surftide Seven" (sample3), another Ellington cover based on "In A Mellotone"; B6 "China Clipper," a cover of the tune written by pianist/arranger/orchestrator Paul Conrad, known for his arrangements for 1950s British ballad singer David Whitfield; and Roland Alphonso's B3 "Lawless Street" — all superb. A limited-edition 180g heavyweight vinyl reissue. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
