Format

12inch 2190 JPY

"Money Talks" ('89), a late-'80s street soul collector's anthem, gets an official reissue on 12-inch from Backatcha, limited to 300 copies, coupled with the previously unreleased NJS track "I Still Love You" featuring Intrigue! (Released simultaneously in two versions: the remix version and this original version.)

En-To-End was a duo active from the 1980s into the '90s, made up of North London singer/producer Tony Shand and keyboardist David Henriques. Unearthed from the tape archives of T.S. Records — the self-run label Tony Shand founded for En-To-End — this collector-coveted label cut gets an official reissue on Backatcha. Every previous reissue of "Money Talks" on this label has been a 7-inch, but this time it appears on 12-inch for the first time. What ran four minutes on the 7-inch is presented here at around seven minutes, and (sample_1) covers the developments from the midsection onward. The previously unreleased flip brings in Intrigue, one of the defining names in UK street soul, for the bouncy new jack swing track "I Still Love You." The B-side features two instrumental versions. A timely record. Limited quantities, so don't wait! (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
