Jim Ka Ray — who has released as Jay Ka on labels like 〈Salt〉 and 〈Phonogramme〉, and as Kogui on 〈As It Is〉 — launches his own label 〈JKR〉. A 10-inch on colored vinyl featuring three originals, plus remixes from I:Cube, Aardvark, and Jay Ka with Flabaire, one of the heads of 〈D.KO Records〉.

The originals are three psychedelic jams centered on Jay Ka, featuring Flabaire (bass/guitar), a player of the kanun (a traditional Arabic instrument), and vocalists. Magical rhythms with glimpses of folk-music elements, and a hallucinatory world. Remix by I:Cube (Nicolas Chaix): a deep cut where lazy guitar, voices, and electronics drift through the mix. Two versions — a dub version and a mix built around a Les Paul guitar. Plus a remix by Aardvarck and Jay Ka + Flabaire. A 10-inch and a 12-inch, with a picture sleeve of a syringe disguised as McDonald's fries and a PVC sleeve collaged with the word "pleasure."
