Two tracks from the team-up of Blake Mills and Sam Gendel, featuring female vocalist Amelia Meath. Effortlessly high-quality — exactly what you'd expect.

Featuring Amelia Meath, who's been part of the offbeat electro-pop duo Sylvan Esso and, before that, belonged to Mountain Man, a vocal group performing Appalachian folk (American folk songs born and sung in the Appalachian Mountains). Her vocals carry that Appalachian folk lineage — a real folkloric air — set against playing by two artists who need no introduction. There's a post-nu-jazz feel here too, plus a hint of Brazilian music. Wonderful.
The B-side (sample2) is an instrumental brimming with their signature style. (Original Japanese text by Shhhhh)
