"La Decima Compilation 2014-2024," a compilation celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Melbourne label Refuge Recordings, home to releases by Jerk Boy and Oliver $. EP 2.

Four acts here, led off by a track from label founders Ben Silver & Boogs, followed by Jason Hodges & Joey Coco's featuring singer Emerson Alexander, Sydney's Elijah Something, and Ritmiq. Kicking off with "Do You Think" — keyboard riffs, falsetto vocal samples, clap-driven bouncing beats and a dope bassline — right through to the closer, Ritmiq's "Historia (La Decima Remix)" (sample3), a mysterious cut built on Spanish-language samples: dancefloor tunes that light up the room. (Original Japanese text by Saito)

Part 2 of ‘La Decima’ Compilation to celebrate the 10 years of Refuge begins with Melbourne kings, Ben Silver & Boogs who are most known for their longstanding residencies at Revolver. They collaborate on a driving house number taking inspiration from Detroit & Chicago. Next up, Jason Hodges & Joey Coco’s jam, Valentino finds its place on the black gold with its groovy feel and amazing vocals by Emerson Alexander. The B side kicks off Elijah Something offers up a groovy drum weapon with Skippy Disco Track. To round out the series is Ritmiq, remixing his own record, Historia with a rolly acid dub tool that is built for those late night sets. Get familiar, familia.
