Undiscovered talent. An original and poetic modern classical/piano ambient piece by Fukuoka-born composer and pianist KOKI NAKANO. Released from Paris-based label NO FORMAT.

I've been checking out some unusual Japanese releases from NO FORMAT, a label that showcases Afro-legends, for a while now, and this latest one is original and interesting. It is not classical or ambient techno that is good for techno ears like Nils Frahm, but rather an allegory without the context of dance music, with a sense of ambient that has passed through? It is a strange balance of piano music that doesn't belong anywhere, reminding me of Chilly Gonzales' "solo piano", one of the most famous piano music albums NO FORMAT is proud of. The combination of European elegance and Japanese sensibility creates an original feel. Takuma Watanabe: This also reminds me of the sound of OPN. Yael Naim (!!!), a guest on "Howling" with Yael Naim (!) and "Howling" (sample 2), and Wayne Snow (sample 3) also participate. This curation is also interesting. I recommend it.
