ROB MAZUREK (Chicago Underground Duo), a key figure who has led the Chicago sound art scene since the ’90s and continues to explore music in avant-garde ways through projects like 〈INTERNATIONAL ANTHEM〉. And now, a collaboration born from a chance encounter with Italian modular synth wizard ALBERTO NOVELLO! ALBERTO provides a foundation of gentle rhythms and timbres, while ROB weaves delicate harmonies on the trumpet and creates a cosmic atmosphere with bells and a sampler—an improvised cosmic sound art piece. Blending bursts of white noise, technoid pulsations, and ethnic chants, this music captures the beauty of science fiction and psychedelia alike, offering sounds from an unknown dimension.
