An extremely rare Australian “Killer Disco” release. A remastered reissue combining two 12-inch singles by Ralph White, originally released in Sydney in 1978. Features a total of four tracks. A light, breezy groove. Miraculous ensemble playing; positive, radiating goodness; a warm, love-and-peace-filled, fantastical sound.

〈Austudy〉—a label dedicated to unearthing niche Australian sounds, such as TOYLAND—is reissuing two singles originally released by Ralph White, an arranger and composer who has also worked with major labels, on Sydney-based label M7. (Original Japanese text by Saito)

The first official anthology of Ralph White's 1978 disco recordings from the Albert studios in Sydney.

Known for his work as a studio musician and producer in the Sydney music scene Ralph White was approached by the M7 label to create 4 disco arrangements for the purpose of releasing two 12" singles to a burgeoning market hungry for new dance music.

Over the course of 2 days at the Albert Studios in Sydney, Ralph and a handful of local studio players including the renowned guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, laid down 4 of the finest examples of disco recorded in Australia.

While the two 12" singles were released to modest reception in Australia, M7 sent many copies to larger markets in Canada, India & Argentina in hopes for greater profits. These 12" singles have since become highly sought-after demanding hundreds of dollars on the second-hand market.

All four tracks are now available again, remastered and packaged in a stunning textured spot-UV jacket with inserts featuring extensive liner notes & biography from Ralph White.
