A new talent joins 〈SFERIC〉, home to a roster of singular artists including ROMÉO POIRIER and JAKE MUIR! Inspired by church sermons overheard during a stay on the Mediterranean island of Crete and by Breton music played on the Celtic harp, this avant-electronic folk / downtempo work was co-produced with avant-pop artist LA TIMPA and RICHARD LAMB, head of Montreal's 〈TEMPLE〉. It opens with "Hebammerie" (sample1), a phasing minimal harp loop, followed by "All I Said Was Where" (sample2), where a melody repeats without shying away from dissonance beneath murmured vocals and boom-bap beats — detuned, eerily bending harp, field recordings and near-spoken vocals in surreal harmony.
