Format

12inch 3790 JPY

Mint Condition has reissued “Keep Rockin’”—originally released in 1994 by 90s deep house and electronic music talent Charles Webster under the name Love From San Francisco—as a 12-inch reissue, featuring an edit not included on the original EP and previously unreleased mixes.

Charles Webster built his career as a recording engineer at Square Dance Studio in the UK, the birthplace of classics by 808 STATE, BLEEP, and Detroit techno acts. After a stint living in L.A., he was picked up by labels such as PEACE FROG in the late '90s and came to be recognized as one of the UK's foremost house producers, with a huge discography to his name. His work is still highly regarded today, his older material remains as popular as ever, and reissues keep coming — and this one is a 1994 release under his Love From San Francisco alias from his L.A. years. (Incidentally, that same year DJ GIRTH and the pioneers of the UK house sound system scene headed to America and toured coast to coast in "Grayhound," a converted bus rigged with the Wicked Sound System.) Captivating sound with a hint of UK house and rave culture in the air. Couples the digital-only Keep Rockin' (Re-Edit) with the (Unreleased Mix). (Original Japanese text by Saito)
