Drawing inspiration from the Velvet Underground and the Glasgow indie scene, their appeal remains undimmed even after 20 years.

Amid the early 2000s Scottish music scene that birthed Camera Obscura, Arab Strap and Belle and Sebastian, Tacoma Radar were the quiet achievers. Their sole album, No One Waved Goodbye – a mesmerizing collection of hushed melancholy, is now hailed as a cult classic. Reissued for the first time, this deluxe double album features No One Waved Goodbye, both seven-inch singles, and the previously unreleased Live From the 13th Note.
Numero Group—which promotes the rediscovery of slowcore and indie rock from around the year 2000, including California’s Her Space Holiday and the Tiger Style scene, as well as San Diego’s Tristeza—has begun work on a reissue of Scotland’s Tacoma Radar. A band from the Glasgow, Scotland scene around the year 2000—a time that also saw the emergence of bands like Arab Strap and Belle and Sebastian—playing dream pop and lo-fi slumber pop. Formed by members who drew inspiration from fellow Glaswegian bands like Camera Obscura and Maps of Jupiter, the band was active from 1996 to 2004. This 2LP vinyl release compiles all albums and singles originally released by 〈Andmoresound Records〉—which had previously released Camera Obscura-related material—and includes additional live recordings.
