São Paulo, Brazil-based digger DJ EL OHIM shows off moody edit work that captures every bit of these classics' flavor.

"Vamos Juntos Nesse Funk" (sample1) reworks TANIA MARIA's 1983 classic "Funky Tamborim" — a deft edit that keeps JOHN PENA's slap bass, arguably the original's greatest charm, front and center while slipping in mysterious pads for a contemporary twist.
