Brion Gysin, a radical idea man legend who introduced the cut-up method to his close friend, novelist William S. Burroughs, helped him complete "Naked Lunch" and edit Burroughs' novels, while also creating experimental music and sound poetry works, and worked with Stiv Lacy in his later years, released this album in 1961. Dreamachine parts 1-5, a 32-minute realistic psychedelic trance art sound journey that allows you to experience the effects of the "Dream Machine," a light art device, as an altered consciousness as a sound work, is now available on analog vinyl!

The title track A1.A2.A3.B1.B2 "Dreamachine" (Parts 1.2.3.4.5) is a 32-minute long trance-like story that expresses the strobe effect of a light device as sound. The fusion of simple minimal disco sounds and Afrobeat JuJu Music, with a slowly transforming groove somewhat similar to E2-E4, envelops the listener in an awakening comfort. The album also includes B3 "The Door" (1984) with Steve Lacy, which adds further depth to the avant-garde jazz worldview.
BRION GYSIN's cut-up technique, experimental poetry, and interdisciplinary approach have influenced David Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Genesis P. Orridge, and William S. Burroughs. Liner notes enclosed!
