A timeless sound that blends minimalism with a unique worldview, where repetition and dynamism coexist, evoking both a sense of the bizarre and meticulous craftsmanship.

After the poor sales of their debut album, Faust’s “So Far” (1972) presents the more commercial and accessible side of the legendary German krautrock band without giving up their advanced and experimental personality.
It is a perfect album to begin exploring the group's discography, featuring one of their most well-known songs, ‘It's a Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl,’ and is considered a striking work on par with Neu!'s first album or Can's “Tago Mago”. Preceding other artists like Throbbing Gristle and Nurse with Wound, Faust were pioneers in creating industrial and futuristic atmospheres using processed rhythms, as on the track ‘Mamie is Blue.’

"So Far," the second album by the German rock band FAUST, formed in 1969 by journalist Uwe Nettelbeck, who later joined SLAPP HAPPY. "It's A Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl," one of the greatest German rock songs ever, composed by singer Rudolf Sosna. The sound, which unfolds while incorporating noise and electronics, remains fresh to this day. The liner notes for this reissue were written by Patrick Ryder, who joined the band upon its reunion and also handled the remastering. A reissue from BUREAU B (2025). Now in stock.
