London polymath CATCHING FLIES — whose 2020 debut album drew widespread attention with rave support from DJs, artists, and writers across the board including GILLES PETERSON, catapulting him to stardom with appearances such as a world tour with Bonobo — weaves a broad musical palette spanning jazz, soul, hip-hop, house, and electronica into modern, soulful, electronic downtempo. Following 2025's mixtape "Beats & Pieces," the eagerly awaited second installment and companion piece "Beats & Pieces II" is out now on Indigo Soul. Limited orange color vinyl LP edition.

The second installment following "Beats & Pieces" — a chilled-out, relaxing downtempo mixtape colored with soulful, jazzy electronica and a pleasantly imaginary twilight glow, built on beatmaking and sound design that pays homage to the '90s/2000s downtempo scene (Lemon Jelly, AiM, Kruder & Dorfmeister, etc.) that multi-instrumentalist, producer, and DJ Catching Flies, aka George King, listened to as a young teenager. This time out he expands on the previous record with a more dancefloor-minded, dynamic and uptempo companion piece. Eleven tracks of melancholic electronica, new soul, downtempo, and nu-disco.
Already backed and praised by Bonobo, Diplo, Solomun, MJ Cole, Gilles Peterson, iD Magazine, The Guardian, BBC6 Music, and more. (Original Japanese text by COMPUMA)
