BPM 101, reminiscent of a slow rock rhythm from a preset rhythm machine—a slow-motion, tropical, laid-back track in the signature sparse, dreamy Italo disco style of Mystic Jungle, bathed in dim light; Side-A’s “Can’t Make You Out” (sample 1), which brings a tear to the eye with its fleeting guitar solo at the end; and BPM 98, which lowers the BPM and pitch, featuring the minimal textures of a preset rhythm machine, disco dub, the resonance and aftershocks of reggae-style guitar, and plenty of breathing room.
