The experimental left-field dub innovators THE ROOTSMAN, based in Edinburgh via Bradford, appear on the third volume of the UK underground connection 〈CRYING OUTCAST〉! The third volume of CRYING OUTCAST features three selected works from their catalog, plus a remix by MILES J PARALYSIS, the group's leader. The ROOTSMAN's signature multinational ethnic dub as well as heavy ska reminiscent of culture clash are all included.

Known for his collaborations with MUSLIMGAUZE, frontier dub genius JOHN BOLLOTEN aka THE ROOTSMAN has been exploring dub fusion for over 30 years! The heavy rolling steppers masterpiece "When The Eye Open" (sample 1) with South Asian vocals released in 2016 is also dangerous. The trippy, heavy ska "Loka Samasta Dub" (sample 2) is reminiscent of the early 90's dub hybrid era and Culture Clash. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
