The third album released in 2021 by Gaijin Blues, a Polish duo that pays homage to Japanese manga and video games. The band cites Soviet electronic music, the science fiction works of Stanisław Lem and the Strugatsky brothers, and—in particular—*Mobile Suit Gundam*, *Knights of Sidonia*, and *Neon Genesis Evangelion* as major sources of inspiration for this album. Moving away from their previous reliance on Japanese samples, the band presents a dynamic and addictive sound from an outsider’s perspective, blending live instruments—including the harp, koto, and brass—with synthesizers and drum machines. The album also features tracks based on unused game music drafts. Don’t miss the opening track featuring Kiki Hitomi, a familiar face in the *Jahatari* scene known for her work with WaqWaq Kingdom and others.
