This collection features four house tracks that skillfully incorporate the traditions of New York house while carefully weaving modernism into a robust, tech-driven groove. Track B1, for example, combines Latin-inspired percussive drums and a fat bassline with lyrical synths that float along, harkening back to the golden age of deep house.

House producer FRITS WENTINK—renowned as a flagship artist for both 〈WOLF MUSIC〉 and 〈ROYAL OAK〉—makes his debut under the name GROOVE ASSEMBLY. “Held Note” (sample 1) is an absolute gem, featuring a light Latin percussion groove contrasted with a heavy bassline, while keyboard floats—evoking the golden age of deep house—emotionally blend into the mix. Tracks like “Real Smiles” (sample 2), which conveys a deeply intoxicating house vibe through melodic basslines and snippets of soul vocals, showcase meticulous production that strikes a balance between honoring tradition and appealing to modern dance floors.
