The title means “star” in Spanish. The album features contributions from leading figures in the modern underground Latin scene, such as Fémina and Meridian Brothers. Starting with an exploration of digital cumbia around 2010, the project eventually evolved into electro-acoustic experiments inspired by encounters with indigenous traditions, particularly those of the Andes.
