SUB BASICS and WITCH TRIALS—who are revolutionizing New Roots-style bass music from their home base at 〈TEMPLE OF SOUND〉—are launching their second EP as SBWT. From “Marauders” (sample 1)—an exotic, jungle-inspired tribal dub techno track featuring a collage of tropical bird calls—to “Source” (sample 2), a minimal tool track that, conversely, presents a solid soundscape focused on the percussion itself.
