"Trance lation," the second DVDR visual work by Popy Oil, following "Promotional Use Only #4," which was released in a limited run of 200 copies and sold out immediately. This release captures a densely packed live recording of the Live VJ Mix that has earned tremendous trust and acclaim through countless VJ acts performed in a wide range of locations. Over footage of vividly colored illustrations advanced frame by frame, live painting on an OHP by NAM/MollweideGraffix is used as VJ material and mixed live. An exquisite sense of color flows through unhurried time without hesitation, and rich emotion coexists within the work through both analog and digital methods. The jacket uses photos taken during the production sessions held at Don't Find Studio, resulting in artwork that packages the atmosphere of the site itself. The audio used here is a mix by Olive Oil, originally provided to the European net label Monday Jazz (http://www.mondayjazz.com/).
