Uncovered during the quest for rare groove, cherished as a classic of dancefloor jazz, and given new life through numerous samples by artists including MADLIB and FAT JOE—this is CORTEX’s 1975 debut album. Electric piano, scat singing, tracks inspired by Brazilian sounds, and bass grooves and rhythms. Although it has been reissued on vinyl several times, this remastered reissue is a joint effort by 〈TRAD VIBE〉 and 〈FAVORITE〉, the labels that have been unearthing rare CORTEX recordings.
