2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of harpist and pianist Alice Coltrane — wife of John Coltrane, aunt of Flying Lotus, and one of the defining figures of spiritual, meditative jazz. To mark the occasion, Luaka Bop has released a carefully curated collection drawn from the precious cassette-tape works she issued only to her own community between 1982 and 1995.

The vinyl edition is a 2LP set containing all 10 tracks. Remastering is handled by legendary engineer Baker Bigsby, who has worked with John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Sun Ra and more.
